Thelma and Louise Ride again

Well folks I finally got away from home for a few hours.  Took a ride to Raleigh for the day.  What a trip I'm here to tell you!  Thought we would never get out of our little town and on the interstate!  I guess I must have got behind every tractor, school bus and old lady going to the grocery store today.  Well finally we made it on the interstate and the rest of the way in was a total breeze.

Stopped off at my favorite BBQ in RDU!  That's right!  Remington's Grill!  Now folks if you haven't tried it you surely need to because I'm here to tell you that is some of the best BBQ Pork I have ever eaten.  They mesh the eastern style BBQ so well with the western style BBQ to create the Raleigh style BBQ!  I can hardly wait to drag the Hubs up there to try it out!  And I don't know about you but the part of NC I come from we take our BBQ serious!  So when you pass thru Cary next time stop at the Crossroads Shopping Center and visit Remington's Grill, tell Rodney I sent ya! lol

We took our new side kick on his second road trip with us today and he did fantastic!  We are so proud of him!  He is learning to ride the roads like a champ and hopefully by summer he will have his own pair of sunglasses to sport along with a bow tie of course...

So we got our  business all taken care of and started back for home.  Managed to some how get turned around and ended up back at where we started!  I sort of felt like the movie Groundhog Day!  lol  Finally we were pointed for home when I received a call from my Free Spirited Child.  She calmly tells me she came home to find the demon/houdini formally known as Ace the Wonder Dog loose reining havoc on the neighborhood.  Thankfully, he had not torn down any of the fencing I had already put up!  Yay!  She has put him back on but tells me, "Mom, you really must do something with your dog"  Now, I'm still trying to figure out when did my son's dog become my dog......  That's ok.  I'm going to light his ass...oops I mean butt on/up tomorrow if it kills me......

Well, that's the end of my perfect day.  And as I snuggle in my bed listening to the nightly military "Big Guns" going off over my head I can't help but wonder, what are the chances of them missing......
